The Walker Art Center is seeking a fastidious and personable Annual Fund Coordinator.   This individual will work closely with our talented Annual Fund team, providing vital assistance to achieve fundraising goals for the institution. 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Process all Annual Fund and Avant Garden individual gifts, ensuring that contributions are deposited, acknowledged, fulfilled, and reconciled
  • Provide a consistent, supportive point of contact for internal staff, donors and trustees 
  • Manage family foundation grants and annual fund appeal including drafting copy, managing timelines and reporting
  • Support the planning and implementation of donor activities and events, such a luncheons, receptions, dinners and the annual benefit 

The successful candidate has an incredible eye for detail and brings an exceptional customer service approach. They will have experience with direct mail appeals, fundraising events, a donor CRM database, and an understanding of the fundraising cycle. Exceptional abilities in writing, speaking, and building relationships are critical for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years of individual gifts fundraising experience, including events, preferably in a museum or non-profit setting or equivalent combination of education, training or experience
  • Demonstrated interest in the arts 
  • Excellent customer service demeanor with high attention to detail 
  • Effective communication (both written and oral), problem-solving, and organization/time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and numbers required. Working knowledge of Tessitura and Word Fly preferred. 

HOURS AND COMPENSATION

  • Salary up to mid-$40k (dependent on qualifications); overtime eligible

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week; some evenings and weekends as required
