The Walker Art Center is seeking an independent contractor to work within audience evaluation with our marketing department. Responsibilities will include the organization, collection, and entering of data, as well as participation in the planning and training for research and evaluation studies at the Walker. The contractor will also offer feedback from first-hand experience executing those studies, and is expected to contribute to a highly positive experience for guests conducive to repeat visitation, membership conversion, and excellent word of mouth for the Walker. Due to the nature of the work itself, it is anticipated to take place on-site at the Walker.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills required.
  • Comfortable initiating and guiding conversations with visitors.
  • Strong coordination and data management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability in working within Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to problem solve in a quick and resourceful manner and take initiative. 
  • Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and people across a variety of generations.
  • Interest in audience research and analytics reporting, experience in this field a plus.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

  • Job Type: Independent Contractor
  • $12.25/hour; 15-20 hours/week; typical shift is 10a-5:30p; some evenings and weekends required
